Pet Dentistry and Dental Radiography

Healthy teeth and gums are essential to animals’ health. Ask us for advice on brushing pets’ teeth, feed them the right diet, and bring your furry friends in for regular dental checks. We do visual checks as well as x-rays if further investigation is needed. Dental x-rays allow us to see tooth roots and hidden concerns below the gum line, not visible to the naked eye and make appropriate treatment recommendations. Don’t let pets suffer in silence because of something as straightforward as tooth decay. Good oral health will also protect your pet from a variety of other health issues, so be sure to ask about our animal dentistry services.

When To Check Pets Teeth

Usually we will give your pet a dental inspection when you take your dog or cat in for its annual health check. For most pets this is sufficient and an easy part of your regular pets health routine.

What We Check;

  • The presence of abscesses within the oral cavity.
  • Tartar hidden below the gum line
  • Review the mouth for signs of trauma.
  • Check for tumour or ulceration.
  • Look for other systemic diseases, such as renal disease in cats.
